Darya Blout is the founder of Deep Blue Composites, a company focused on democratizing advanced material integration for a range of industries, including marine, defense, and aerospace. With a background in ocean engineering and experience in manufacturing and process engineering, she has led her company to innovate in blue tech. Darya actively contributes to the Rhode Island tech ecosystem and participates in initiatives like the MassChallenge Early Stage Accelerator program.

Sue Van Hook is the CEO and founder of MycoBuoys. With over two decades of experience as a mycologist, she has pioneered efforts in using mycelium technology to address environmental challenges. Formerly with Ecovative Design, Sue now focuses on creating sustainable solutions like mushroom-based ocean buoys. She is also dedicated to personal healing and connecting people with the natural world through her workshops and individual sessions.

Rob Torgerson is Vice President of Kestrel Innovative Fibers, focused on creating sustainable fibers from recycled plastics and bio-based polymers. With extensive experience in medical devices, Rob previously founded RxFiber and held senior roles in R&D at Confluent Medical Technologies and Medtronic. Passionate about environmental sustainability, he leverages his expertise in synthetic fibers to develop eco-friendly solutions for the textile industry, inspired by his love for water sports and ocean conservation.

Oliver Moore is the Co-founder and Director of Moore Brothers Company, specializing in custom composites for sporting goods like downhill skis. With a background in composite engineering, he has experience in designing and fabricating parts using CNC machines. A Williams College graduate and passionate sailor, Oliver combines his love for the outdoors with his expertise in composites.
